• December Events - Foods featuring in 19th Century recipe books will be presented by Peter Bears, food historian, takes place in the Foyle Room at 3pm on the 5th December 2009. Expected to be very popular so book now to avoid disappointment.
• Christmas Concert by the Ambleside & District Choral Society to be held in the Ambleside Parish Church at 7:30pm on Saturday 12th December 2009.
• December Events - Christmas Promenade performance by Grasmere School is to be held in St Oswald's Church, on 15th December 2009. Start time at 6pm.
• Aladdin Pantomime Production performed by the Grasmere Players will be held on the 17th, 18th and 19th December 2009 at 7:30pm in the village hall. There is also a matinee on Saturday 19th December 2009 at 2:30pm also in the village hall. Tickets are £6 for adults and £3 for children. Tickets can be purchased from Barneys Newsagent during opening hours.
• December Events - Christmas Eve Candlelit Carols at 6pm in St Oswald's Church, followed by the First Communion of Christmas Service at 11:30pm.
• December Events - 11am for the Christmas Communion with Carols in St Oswald's and the Christmas Mass Service begins at 11:15am in Our Lady's Church, on Christmas Day.
